A little Spiritual Uplift with Jeremy Camp

Concert at Believers Chapel
Cicero, NY
November 11, 2016

Tammy invited me to attend a concert at Believers Chapel this evening. I was thrilled to be along for her planned family evening. I also was not expecting what an amazing evening this would turn out to be. Jeremy Camp's I will follow tour was the being held and it was sure a hot ticket. The place was mobbed with people all ready to hear the music.

Seats were at a limited. The air was on fire. Everyone was full of the gospel, and I soon caught the fever. It was a bit too much at first, but soon the music was started and the crowded chapel soon seemed as one.

first up was the sounds of Royce Lovett. He played a hip hop style of music, that got the crowd going!

Up next was the music of Love and the Outcome.

and finally......Jeremy Camp!!!! WOW is all I can say!!!!!

The music was so inspiring! I was on my feet, singing and dancing and simply just having an amazing time!

The music went on for quite some time, I truly enjoyed all of the music and listened attentively to his story of  belief in the Lord.
It was all so uplifting. Music can be so powerful. Although the room was full of people. I felt so connected to the powers of God solo to me within those moments. I would just close my eyes and listen while Jeremy sang. Each moment was in that moment.
My personal journey with the lord has always been diverted with pathways, some leading to dead ends, others simply narrowing to a thin trail. In short I have not always been the best practice of my belief, or even if I have a belief to begin with.
Never baptized as a child, brought up as a Unitarian, fathered by an Atheists, baptized as an adult Russian Orthodox, married a non practicing Jew. I can say....I'm a mess of beliefs or thoughts on what God may or may not be, I view myself as a Baptist and have been "practicing" such for the longest period if my adult life. I attend church, infrequently as such, but I attend. I wear the cross around my neck, and I am also committed to my bible study group. BUT......can I say I have accepted Jesus as savior and Lord? In all honesty I have not. What that hindrance is about I am not sure.  Sometimes I think I am not worthy, or I'm not ready....or what if I can not live up to the commitment.
I do know one thing....As I stood in that chapel that evening, I felt the music flow through me and each word rang strong and true to my ear. I felt the presence of Jesus surrounding me and holding me to the belief in all things good. If that is accepting, then I know I do.

What Can I add to this, except to say. Somethings are best when there is no expectations. I whole heatedly enjoyed the evening and felt so within that moment with something much bigger them myself. God! Almighty.

Finding fun in the everyday

First week in November
Home and local 2016

Well...there has not been much happening here in good old Liverpool NY. Mark and I have been very diligent about getting to the gym. Nearly every day at 4am, I have pulled myself out of my warm cumfy bed to do an machine or walk a tread! I skipped it this morning, my co-partner is working an overnight shift. 18 pounds of fat GONE so far, so I must be doing something right. Many more to go, but on my way.
As far as taking trips...well, that has been non-existent of late. The last two weekend have been spent binge watching Shameless. Yes I am hooked.
Friday I did spend some time with my crafty friends at Sandy's house. Did some crafting on my SMASH book from my Cruise last November, but really did not get to far. I have to figure out how to get some of my pictures developed. Maybe then I could be inspired to be creative.
Saturday while my youngest was out with his friends, and Mark was off enjoying the breaders cup. I planned a full day of couch surfing and Shameless watching when Kelly called and soon we were off on an adventure.

Nails were in need of some TLC and she was interested in looking at some wall pieces she had seen a few months ago at the slowing closing Shoppingtown Mall. So we decided to make a day of it.

 Pedicure finale.
Then the fingers. I love how mine came out. Although the nails came out nice, Kelly was a little upset with her service. She felt she did not get what she had asked for,
After what seemed like several hours at the Nails place. We were soon on our way to the next adventure...RV shopping!!! Well not really shopping...more LONGING!!!
We longed for the cute RETRO,....It might work well for Kelly, but I know we need some thing with a little more space.

Kelly looks perfect here.
I did look at a few new RVs with bunk houses. The Catalina by Coachmen. The two I saw were both very nice, Big bathrooms, nice kitchen...fireplace in one...both had some good size. As much as I want one....it's a BIG purchase. $20,000.00 and up. Its scary.

After dreaming about the somedays...we headed towards Brewerton and had a late lunch/dinner at The Waterfront Tavern. I'm not one to make reviews...but coming from someone who LOVES food and has been restricting her intake; which would make when I do eat anything it usually tastes AMAZING no matter what it is. This meal scored LOW on my recommendations for meals. Kelly was not impressed either...Strike on the nail place now on dinner...

One last place to go....Kelly had come to my area to go to Shoppingtown Mall. So we were off....and guess what...the store she wanted to go to was no longer there. Infact, there really is nothing in this mall left at all. How sad. This was where I used to hang out for hours when I was a kid. It was nearly empty....WAH!!!
Oh well, we had fun just in the journey, TTFN

ICE AND SNOW: Take it slow!

Central NY
End of October 2016

Feeling restless this early morning. I woke up around 3am, looking at the clock I groaned...really! This weekend has been uneventful to say the least. Yucky weather has prompted LAZY do nothing days! Both Mark and I have been good about getting to the gym most days. I did a ROCKEN workout yesterday to make up for the last two days of poor eating choices at the conference I attended during the week.

Thursday afternoon, my gal pal and co-worker Renee and I traveled to Albany for this convention.
It sounded interesting when we signed up. Mental Health is usually an interesting topic.
We left right from work Thursday after noon.

What started out as rain turned into a mess of snow as we traveled from the Syracuse area to Albany.

I gripped the wheel most of the trip. Yep...winter is coming and I am NOT looking forward to it.

We saw several accidents along the way. Renee did one of her freaky premonitions on me, reporting that there was a gray car crashed on the right, when we passed there was nothing there. Up a ways...there it was, a gray car smashed on the right shoulder. I called her the devil!!!

Nothing felt as wonderful as arriving at the hotel in one piece.
The conference was held at the Marriot in Albany. It was decent, It was a nice location, nice rooms, a pool and a gym.
We checked in and found our room. Then it was time to find a meal. Both Renee and I had skipped lunch and after the stress of driving, I was ready to relax with some comfort foods.
Generally I seek out different places in the area to eat, but with rush hour traffic and yucky weather, the Olive Garden right across the street was calling.
We had a nice pasta dinner tapping into the Endless Pasta bowl special. There was, btw only one bowl obtained and we didn't even finish that one. All this dieting and eating healthy has shrunk my stomach.

After dinner we hit the pool. We had it all to ourselves, or rather I had it all to myself. Renee thought the water was much to cold.

The following day, we headed out for breakfast at Denny's pre conference. I did a quick stint in the hotel gym. (for good measure) and then we enjoyed this feast!

Renee and I were some of the first to arrive at the conference.

Mark and I have been counting down the days til our next big trip. In just 20 something days we will be on a big ship in the Caribbean. TTFN
