A permanent camping site

August 31-Oct.4th 2019

After several discussion and some future thoughts on our travel plans, it was decided that our lives will be much more satisfying if we were to plant our TT at a seasonal site. Last fall Mark and I had placed our name on a few wait list and called several other campground and found more wait lists and learned of the increasing costs of many of these parks. It seemed that we would have to wait, and pay big bucks for a site. I called one place that informed me that there were at least 40 families ahead of me on a wait list. Some had a season rate, and additional fees on top of fees in conjunction with the seasonal rate.  When visiting my friend Becky's camp and finding that the seasonal charge was just a few hundred dollars more then we were paying for storage and they had available sites, we made the decision and our TT is now on a nice partially shaded lot ready for anytime camping.
This no-frills camp has all the basics of real camping.

I love that the campground was established the same year I was born. Jim and Laura still run it. Some campers have been here at least that long.
Since we set roots at this camp haven, we have had a few weekends enjoying the great out doors. We made it look more like home.

Had a great dinner for a pot lunch birthday party!
 BINGO on Saturday nights
 (nope I didn't win.)
 Cocktails by the camp fire!

There is a camper that has some great music at least 1x per month. They sound great too
Everyone at camp has a golf cart. This is our number 1 have to get for next summer.
We are certainly enjoying our time at our new second home.
The camp ground is hosting a Haunted tail walk in a few weeks.
mark and I have taken several walks with Riley around the park and we found Riley's much heavier twin.
One day Tammy came up and we just chilled at the site. It was an enjoyable day.
Halloween season I decorated the site and had some overnight visitors. Stefanie and Kate came up for the weekend
We had fun by the camp fire on the Friday night and planned for a real scare at the Haunted trail on Saturday.

 Becky and Aimee joined us.

S'mores are always fun. Stefanine climbed a tree to retrieve a cooking sticks.

Early Saturday we took Riley for a walk and these guys were growing next door.

 Card games filled our day

A LARGE campfire at Beckys camp before heading to the Haunted trail!

I screamed the whole time!!!!! The following morning, Mark and I took Riley for a walk down the trail. They really did a great job.

The following weekend was Trick or Treat time.

 My RV decor'
All of the CANDY for the trick or treaters.

The campground has several trails. Mark and I take Riley for lots of walks. This one has a cute couple of bear cubs ready for some fishing.

 Riley absolutely LOVES camp!!!!
Stefanie came up for the weekend again. She is dressed as Lilo.
I had a cheeser cat to wear, but it was much to hot.
 The Halloween costume contest.
The kids all looked so cute.
Riley showed his outfit too. To bad he didn't win.
After trick or treating we headed over to the end of summer party. There was SOOOOO MUCH FOOD!!!

We a some more visitors.

Including my son. And for a short while the band played
But there was a big party and band in the camp hall.
We had a wonderful end of the season at our new home away from home. I cannot wait until next year!!!!

last weekend we went out to close our home up for winter.
