2018: Bring on the New Year!

Let the New Year Begin! 2017 was absolutely incredible 2018 can only be better!




For the enjoyment of bringing in 2018 Mark and I had the pleasure of an evening from Turning Stone Resort and Casino. One of the perks of being a gambler is the FREEBEES. Tonight was an evening of entertainment, dinner, drinks, dancing, a room to stay over and breakfast the following day. (Let us not discuss really HOW FREE this really was as one must play a certain amount in the casino to be valued enough for these FREEBEES. But at any rate.....here we are...ready to enjoy.

We arrived early in the day and had lunch in the buffet and checked into the room.

 Dinner was not until 7pm, so we had some time to enjoy the hotel amenities. I just love this little hidden gem. Adults only in this pool and hot tub. There is also a gym. (We did not go in there) sauna and steam room.



A little gaming happened before preparing for dinner. Mark won $1,500- I won about $40- But I lost most of it plus as the evening progressed. Time to find a new hobby. 
Dressed for dinner and a New Years night. 


We were assigned to table 26. Each table had a number and a resolution. I think ours was fate!


Dinner was quite nice.
The ham was especially delicious.
The desserts were so pretty...I found it hard to eat. I kept some, but one of the wait staff took them away while we wandered in and out of the banquet room.



We had an amazing band playing throughout the evening. Dinner music played for the beginning of the evening. Later they played dance music.


Our dinner and evening fun was in a special room...but the rest of the resort had several parties going on as well. Mark and I ventured out and about to all the free areas where things were "out of control." The casino floors themselves were packed. People were everywhere and even lying on the floors. We didn't go near the clubs, but I am sure they were just if not more insane. We even watched as security took off after people in the bingo hall who were in a fight. WOW!
I was amazed at the outfits. Not so much the guys...but the ladies had some dresses on that were both beautiful and OH NO!!! What are you wearing? Some clothing items were so small my swim suit is bigger....and not that I am worth a look...but some certainly had NO business wearing clothing that covered so little. WOW!
Mark and I wondered the halls and found these amazing characters. Pretty cool!

In the main entrance area there was a stage and band set up. We stayed and listened to these musicians play for some time. They played Prince, Donna Summers and some other fun motown songs. 




We really enjoyed this group play.

Back at the banquet room. Memory Pictures were available and I scored myself a new hat.

I had a few more drinks in me as we waited for the last hour before midnight. I had my buddy George Jr come out and play. Around 11 the staff brought out a late night snack of pretzels and dipping sauces. I loved the beer cheese. Yum!
I dragged Mark on the dance floor a few times. He really hates to dance. He was willing to slow dance,  but was quick to leave the floor once any movement more then stepping side to side was played.



Soon....it was time for the count down. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 ,1!!!!!!!

January 1st...Also our Anniversary. Happy Anniversary Mark!!!!
The fun didn't end after the ball drop. Mark and I had a free morning of hot tub, pool and sauna. Nice.
Then it was time for our breakfast.
Eggs, bacon sausage and potatoes. YUM....just how everyone should start the New Year.
Ben (my step son) and Bubbe(My mother in law) came out to meet us later in the day. Ben is legal to gamble now, so he got his very first players card and gaming experience. He lost every time. He also decided that this was a "sport" he is not really into. Good for him. Stay away from the family addiction!!!!
We ended New Years day with tv and relaxation. What a wonderful 2017-2018 event. Now onto a new blessed year!!!! Happy New Year to you our there! Until next time TTFN!
