Mini VACA:. Luxury style at The Lodge Turning Stone.

Turing Stone Resort and Casino
Verona, NY
March 17-18th 2018

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!

I have to shout out to my Amazing Husband for pulling off this incredible mini vacation this weekend. We had about 36 hours of AMAZING accommodations and a SINfully good time for this Irish Holiday.

Where???? Well at the Turing Stone Casino of course. What other place in the world screams Irish then a Native American owned casino???? Okay so not exactly standing in the green hills of Ireland or even on the shores of the dyed "Green" river in Chicago....BUT if anyone can pull of a Holiday...Turning Stone can do it....and do it they did.

Mark and I headed out early enough to get some brunch at The Harvest buffet. Being a holiday they had some extra special items on the menu.
 Shepard's Pie, sausages, chips...yum.
After filling ourselves to the brim, we went to the gaming rooms and played some slots. Before long it was time to check into our hotel for the evening. The Lodge....

Before I begin....WOW...Wowie Wow Wow!!! Turning Stone has outdone itself with this one. The Lodge is INCREDIBLE!!!!!

Mark and I have made a visit through the lobby of this amazing place, but have never stayed here. This was going to be a great night.

Waiting for check in.

Once we got into the room....Beautiful. And we got a gift basket.

A few moments in the room, and soon we were heading off to the pool area. The offer a nice gym area (which we did not partake...)maybe someday I will be motivated enough to actually work exercise into my vacations, but for now it is all pampering.... Look at the POOL!!!
Yes...I'd say we were just a little bit thrilled...Mark enjoyed the hot tub too.

The view from the pool, and what a lovely sunny day.

After some pool fun we headed back to the casino played a few games, then up to the VIP room, where we had a snack and some adult beverages.

Still a little time before the St. Patty's day Party we enjoyed the casino entertainment. Irish dancing.

These little ladies were great!

It wasn't long before the PARTY started.

Cornbeef...Ruben....and although not Irish directly....FRENCH FRIES of course.
..and for dessert..
I met some lovely women while enjoying some more adult beverages....and Mark ran into an old co-worker
Lining the drinks up.....I had a wee little bit...

I met this lovely women who was waiting for her husband to play Betty. She was a trooper to spend some time with me. (a few cocktails in..)
It was a super fun evening. I did some drinking, some eating and even a little dancing. When we returned to the room, the staff had turned down the bed and left us a dream catcher.

After such a wonderful night the day before...what could possibly top it? Well, it was TOPPED with a massage at the Skana spa located in the lodge.

The decor alone is worth a visit.

Inside the spa is a hot tub and a mineral pool. (I was told later NO PHOTOS) opps!! Keep your cell phone in your locker.
The sauna
My massage area. AHHHHH!!!!
I was so relaxed and entranced. I felt like I had transcended....My massage was beyond any words I can offer here. JUST DO IT...YOUR WORTH IT.
A little art work..

Mark and I had such a great mini vacation. We have already decided we plan to return soon. TTFN
