July-August 2019
In and about Central NY
I am so far behind in my postings, that I have pretty much summed up my end of July/August here in one post. I really haven't been too busy with many trips since Vegas anyways, and we actually had to CA our Cruise scheduled in October. (boo hoo) But I did have a few adventures so here is the end of July and August.....
Mindy's 50th Birthday Party was celebrated at Bull & Bear! We ate, had some cocktails and cake for dessert. Great time with some amazing friends! happy Birthday Mindy
I spent many of those HOT days in my pool!
I had purchased tickets to Heart and Friends early using a groupon! July 30th it rained....and rained and even thundered. We thought the show might even be CA....
but it turned out the sun shined just after the 1 hour plus delay and we enjoyed the music of Elle King. She was by the way, amazing. I only knew the one song, but fell in love with many others that she played.
Up next was Sheryl Crow. She was also AMAZING!!!!
Nancy Wilson came out to join Sheryl.
Finally Anne and Nancy hit the stage and the music was INSANE. They played a lot of their older stuff, which I didn't know to well, they also played music that was not their own. Great show!!!
Mark and I had brunch at Turning Stone......
and we had an upset in the weather when my back patio went Topsy turvy. The umbrella destroyed.
We also spent a great deal of time working on the house. All of the livingroom walls are freshly painted and Mark worked on the new flooring.
We also went a Birthday party...I had a few cocktails.
We had a goodbye dinner for Olivia, who actually returned.
Mark FINISHED the Floors!!!!
looking good!
I have been getting to the movies with some friends from work. We have started a tradition of wings at Buffalo Wild Wings buy 1 get 1 and after a $5- movie at the Movie tavern.
Mark got some great left overs!!!!
Ready for the movie; I think we saw Scary Stories.
Mark and I spent one of our weekends at Delta Lake. This is absolutely one of the most beautiful campgrounds.
No H20 hookup, but nice large spots with privacy. It did have one thing that we did not expect.......
Yep!!!!! SKUNKS and several of them.
They would walk right through the campsites. Mark and I learned after the first night that we needed to be extra aware of any food left out. Riley had spilled his dog dish and they had been feasting on his fallen food. The next night we only saw them at other sites. While we were camping we were able to attend Marks annual summer picnic for his work. The food was Yummy.
Riley got to meet a puppy!
Back at camp we walked around the lake an admired the parks amenities.
They have a large beach area with a bath house and snacks.
The story of Delta lake.
The beach is very nice, however no dogs allowed.
Riley could take a dip in these side water ways.
The evening skies were very lovely.
While we were camping we also took a trip to an area campground that our friends have a seasonal at. We spoke with Jim (the owner) and now we have our NEW Permanent RV site! We parked her right as we were heading home from our Delta Lake trip.
She looks pretty good doesn't she? (more on camping later)
The last week of August was also full and we even got to see a concert with one of Marks favorite bands...KISS!!
Great audience for this show....loved this little lady and her rocker Dad!
Up first was this painter.
Then.......
Wooowzer!!!!!!!!
We were pretty far back so we struggled to get a great view. My camera does amazing long shots.
These were taken from the tvs.
All I can say is WHAT AN AMAZING SHOW. I have never seen them before, but Mark has and I have to say, they put on an amazing performance. It was INCREDIBLE!!1
