4th of July weekend

 Camp

July 1-5th 2022

We have enjoyed our campground now for 3 years. The fourth of July weekend has always been an enjoyable weekend to spend the time with the outdoors, a few cocktails and the foods. This holiday, Mark and I arrived early that Friday to see a shelter going down the rough dirt roads alongside our camp. Many of the sites add screen rooms or partial shelters to their camp to enhance the camp experience and this one seems to have been sold and bought at another location. It was an interesting view to take in.
We almost always spend much of a camp weekend walking, we lack a golf cart which 90% of the rest of the campers have, but Mark said, we have Riley and he needs to walk anyways. The camp doesnt take to long to walk to all sites to, it would just be so much easier and fun if we had our own, but I cant come up with a better argument then simply I want one, so for now, we walk.
and walk.

and walk. There are some great trails.

and some funny notes along those trails, like the springs....yes, that would be the old mattress spring.

There are great kids activities here at the camp, and these butterflies are a past weekend activity.
This weekend Bobbi and Fred are having a pork roast, and it was indeed yummy.
Alexis and Alicia came up and we spent some time at Jeff and Grace's site singing Karoke.

Of course we had to celebrate with some traditional July 4th sparklers. No fireworks allowed, but we did have some fun with these metal sticks with our neighbors and great people Mavis and Tom.

We ended the evening at the barn where we enjoyed a band.
Its always fun at Sto-ne-nols.
