Boston 2023

Boston, MA
8/2-8/4 2023

Another trip with Tulip brought me to Boston Mass. What fun. I have been here a few times, but its always a fun visit. We spent most of day one of the trip traveling. We arrived in Boston and had hoped to have dinner at cheer, but the one location big enough for all of us was closed. I guess it it closed forever. That is sad. We did find a historic looking tavern and enjoyed a nice meal before hitting the bed.

The following day we had decided to do the hop on hop off trolly. These types of transportation are always great because you can get to many places pretty easily. Its not so easy when there are 16 people in your group. Trying to get on a trolly that had enough seats was difficult, so we were very selective about where we got off. We really spent most of the time enjoying the views.

We did make one stop and headed directly to the Aquarium. We did have to wait as we had such a big group, and even when we did get in, the crowds made the experience a little less then appealing. I feel like the older I get the less tolerant I am to crowds, or maybe there are just more people at these vacation places. But anyway, we made the best of it and took in all the aquatic animals.

The penguins are always fun.
Andy what is up with this sideways swimming fish?

There was a turtle show just about to start so we made a mad dash to the very top. The aquarium has one very large tank that sits in the center of the building which has a multitude of marine life with in each level. We got to the show, but we didn't see much. After it ended I squeezed in to get a glimpse of the star of the show, this little sea turtle.

More fun with the penguins.
Back on the trolly.
We passed by the areas landmarks. and I am guessing that this is FD Roosevelt.

We made our last stop at the USS Constitution. Old Ironside.

I wish I had more to say about our day in Boston, but we really just rode the trolly and took in the sights. The nest day we did go to Quincy Market and did some shopping before heading back to NY.

Fun place, but I have to return one day when it is just me. TTFN
