Disney Cruise "WISH"
November 10-13th 2023 ( I did have more pictures but lost many of them when loading to my laptop somehow.)
Tulip has continued to grant me with such Blessings. Never had I ever thought I would be abord this Cruise line. The Disney Wish, and I must admit any other Cruise line cannot compete. (Well I've only been on Norwegian, but I just know there is NO WAY anyone can top Disney). But here we are. I started to tear up when we pulled into the port. My excitement was unmatched. I was nearly hysterical.
Just the night before, Hubs had driven me to meet up with the group and we had seen my very first Rocket launch, and that had been AMAZING, and now right in this moment I am pulling up to this ship. My heart is about to burst. I am so incredibly blessed by this amazing life I lead.
Even the port of entry is Magical.
We entered the ship right into Cinderella's castle, and we are invited to the Ball to join in the wish ceremony.
We even got our very own magic wands.
And we all made wish's. I am guessing that this women was our Fairy Godmother.
Isn't this statue super cute?
Our group was separated at the gate, so we did a little exploration, while we waited to meet up. The grand ball room, all ready for the Christmas season.
Then we headed down one of the corridor's. There we found some beautiful art and artifacts about the ship and Disney.

Some Cinderella. |

Tiana and her Frog Prince.
Moana.
Sleeping Beauty
and Rapunzel's little friend. Also some of the ship artifacts.
We also found this little pub, themed after the Princess and the Frog.
We also found the Star Wars Bar. This was super cool. The door even opened in a Space age way.
I never had the opportunity to visit these places on my trip, but should I return I would love to try some of these fancy cocktails.
For now, we are just taking in the fun.
We met up with the rest of our group and headed to our rooms. Unfortunately, half of us were on one floor and the other half was on another. This made it difficult to manage things over all, but we would figure it out. Annette and I had a room together with some of the guys on our floor, and Chris was on another floor with some of the group. It did become a juggle. BUT.....our room is amazing.
The picture actually lights up at night too.
After unpacking and getting everyone else all settled in their rooms. We headed to our musket drill and then we had a snack in Mickey's Market, watched the Lighting of the Christmas Tree ceremony then we had our first show.
Mickey and his crew; Goofy, Minnie, Pluto and Minnie had a little performance before we all counted down the lighting of the tree.
We then had our first show of the trip. The show was Disney's Sea's of Adventure. (There were no pictures allowed.) The shows were all amazing. They were all done with high performance, and I simply loved it. This first show was about Goofy, and he was sailing his ship to all different places, each place put him with different Disney Characters; Goofy visited Moana, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Mulan, Tiana and there was a visit with Crush from Little Nemo, as well as an animated Tinkerbell who flew around the audience. LOVED IT!!!!
Up next we had our first dining experience. Can I just say. WOW!!! We had our own Dining staff that moved with us throughout our trip and we really got to know them, and these guys were the greatest. Our first dinner was at 1923. The theme is Walt Disney and his brother Roy's character drawings. All throughout the decor were drawings of the sketches from yesteryears.
(just look at how fancy.) There were very special dishes to choose from, some were not something I would eat, anything with fish is out, but I did want to try things. I ended up getting The Free Monet. It was a pasta dish. I also had a corn chowder soup with my greens.
I got pictures of other people's food as well.
It was all very classy.
All full and relaxed we headed to the ship's movie theater where we got an advanced screening of the new Marvel Movie Captain Marvel. Nothing against these movies, but this was not my jam. But we all enjoyed the calm.
After the movie we made our way back to our rooms and prepared for the night. I am sure there were other activities on the ship, but we had had a long day. We found a towel animal on the bed. LOVE IT!
The next day, I snuck out of the room early to do a little exploring. I'm generally up earlier then most humans. I headed to the top deck to get a feel for the ship. We were docked today and had plans to spend some time in Nassau.
Lovely. We never did spend any time on the deck during our trip, but I bet those pools and spa's are great.
Back at the room, we got everyone up and headed to the Market for breakfast and made a plan for the day. We departed the ship and walked to the Market area for some shopping.
I have to say it was HOT. Chris and Annette have come to this very place over the years with Tulip and always buy from this one women. She was great with our guys and even gave us some goodies just for being there. I got a few beaded bracelets and a Bahama's sweatshirt. Nothing says Bahama's in this heat like a sweatshirt.
The afternoon was back on the ship where we all simply chilled out. I even took a nap. It was very relaxing. I did some more exploring this was cool.
Chris had been gifted a bottle of champagne (she has been on this cruise line several times) and asked that Annette and I join her in having a cocktail in her room. Her room was Moana themed.
It was quite dry, so I didn't have much. The gesture and the company was nice. We had a late lunch on the top deck, it was super hot and trying to find seating for our group was difficult, but we finally did and had some yummies. I have to give Disney a great big thumbs up for the food. Everything was delish. The pool looked so inviting, but as I said, we never did make it to the water activities on the ship.
Back to the rooms where we got ready for the evening activities. First up was the show for the night, and we went to see The Little Mermaid. Again, the shows were incredible. We never got to see any individual characters while on the ship. There are those opportunities, but just like at the theme parks there are lines for days. We just never got ourselves in line. We had a total of 11 people in our group, with 11 different idea's on what to do. So we just kept it simple. Shows, shopping and meals, everyone was for.
After the show, we went and did some Trivia. I was hoping it was Disney trivia, but it was Music themed. I think we did pretty good, but my team did not take the 1st place prize. You could earn up to 40 points total, each question had two parts. The name of the song and the artist. We only got a score of 28. Oh well, it was fun.
we went to our next Themed dining experience, and tonight was Marvel Avengers Quantum Encounter.
This theme was all about the Marvel characters, and since I really haven't seen many of the movies, I wasn't totally aware of what was going on.
The decor was certainly incredible, and the food was great as well.
Each table was equipped with this machine that interacted with the television screen next to our table, (apparently it is a shrink ray machine) Ant Man (?) gave us instructions and we were told to push the button, but something went terribly wrong and we all shrunk, got big, I don't really know it was a little confusing, and we all had to try and touch the button. The idea was fun.
Dinner was great. I had a chicken dish. and of course dessert. Spiderman also came to visit. I did know this guy.
These were all the different desserts that were at our table.
Later that evening, we caught the Pirate and Firework show.
Jack Sparrow even paid a visit.
What a great day! back in the room for a nice night sleep.
The next day we were docked at Disney's private Island Castaway Cay. This was our last full day, but I think it had to be my favorite day of the cruise.
After breakfast, we got ourselves prepared for a day at the beach.
(Even the beach was Christmas themed)
A look back at the ship as we took the shuttle to the beach area.
More Christmas themes......
We spent the day at the beach and had a lovely time.
They offer lunch on the beach so after some fun in the sun, we had a nice lunch in the pavilion. They even had make your own sundae's. Those things sure melt fast in this sun. Having all the beach fun we could take we headed to the shops and did some shopping. FYI they only take credit cards. We did not have those, the guys only brought cash. There was some disappointment with that, but now we know. And just a future FYI to anyone reading this, I have found that all of the Disney parks and associates are cashless as well. I am a cash girl, so this has been a royal pain, but I have kept myself from impulse buying.
Back on the ship we cleaned up and headed to our last show of the Cruise, and my absolute favorite performance.
Aladdin! They used computer graphics to make the illusions more realistic and this was just insane. When Aladdin and Jasmine were flying on the magic carpet, it truly looked like they were flying. And the part where the Genie multiplies himself was a stage full of Genie's. When Jaffar turned into the evil monster and eventually into a Genie himself, it was seamless. It was incredible. LOVE LOVED LOVED this show the absolute most of all three.
Dinner was also my favorite of all the themed Dining, Tonight we were at Arendelle. The home of Elsa and Anna from Frozen.
All my kids were to old for this Disney movie, but as you know, I am a very old kid, so I have seen all of the films myself.
Pictures from the que line. What fun.
As members of the court we were all invited to attend at dining experience hosted by Anna and Christof.
While waiting for our meals there was a small stringed orchestra that played some of the songs from the films. It was very nice.
There was a small show that went on as we waited for our meal, and there were performers who came out and announced the arrival of the Hosts. It was a lot of fun.
Dinner was incredible.
And we got a personal hello from the Hostess's. and Host.
And Elsa too....
After this visit the whole staff and performers began to dance and sing, making a train throughout the dining room. It was so much fun.
The desserts were so good too.
And I even got a special shout out for my Birthday. WOW!!! the staff sung to me and even made me a hat out of napkins.
I kind of think I look like I have a diaper on my head, but I was so happy and bursting inside I didn't care. (two of our amazing wait staff...)
Nothing could have been better then the day I had today. Can I say LOVE LOVE LOVE again?
Back in the room we packed things up, and called it an early night, tomorrow we say goodbye. We had one last towel critter...
So sad. I already want to return. What an amazing time. I highly recommend a trip on the Wish. Until next time. TTFN.
