July 2021- Doing my everyday life!
I have continued to try and keep myself busy and doing local adventures. I decided on driving towards my old stomping grounds of Dewitt/Jamesville NY by checking out Trader Joes. Can you believe I have never been to a Trader Joes? Well, I had my first visit. I found some great products and purchased a few things. I most definately will be back. On my way I did a little geocashing. Only two, but it's always fun.
I actually saw an article just the other day of a geocashing challenge in central NY. It started in May and ends in September at certain local parks in the area. There are prizes attached to those who find so many of them. I will have to investigate.
Our family had our annual July Birthday picnic/party. My father and my daughter are born on the 11th and 12th of July. So somewhere along the way, we started to have an annual BBQ picnic at my parents home. This is always a treat to spend time with family and friends.
Mark's horse ran another race. Unfortunately he ran fourth. My husband is not happy at his standing. I think everyone had hoped for more on his show. He has since started the NY fair circuit. I don't know much about the levels of racing, but he has since been running better. It is unclear if he will continue this type of racing or go back to the more traditional track runs.
He looks beautiful!!!!! Love you Kisses from Above.
For the Birthdays of my two dear friends; Renee and Carol. (Both born on the same day 1 year apart). I took them to enjoy a spa day and a night at the Turning Stone Casino. We had full access to the spa and each had our own massages. We also had a room at the casino for the night at the Lodge. (Pictured below is the friend we found on the hotel deck.)
We had a wonderful time together and of course enjoyed the spa experience. I have been keep busy painting rocks. Here is the Wreck it Ralph grouping.
I decided that I need to do more on my own and headed up to camp by myself. Needless to say, my time alone was limited. Before long, I was enjoying my time with a neighbor and my friend Stefanie joined me later that evening. BTW, I finished the book Nomadland. I enjoyed it.
I always have a great time at camp. I painted some more rocks on this trip.
My little neighbor friend, Bailey painted these.
On this weekend, I also had the opportunity to attend a fellow campers daughters baby shower. The theme was Harry Potter. I just loved the theme.
Mark and I spent this same evening at Turning Stone Casino. We had been invited (or rather He was invited) to pick up a cruise voucher. Its been a long time, but it looks like the boats are back. Interesting the voucher on what cruises were available was pretty much ANYWHERE ANYTIME. COVID has changed everything. We also had a nice meal in the new VIP room. Yummy.
I have been working on my Casita and had to get some pieces. My friend Renee and I went on a search for supplies and stopped for lunch at Firehouse Subs. My first time and it was so good.
(Someday I hope to post my CASITA process, but it has been an undertaking...much more then I had ever thought.) Currently the floor had to be removed as it was completely ROTTEN). I was crushed. Taking steps to correct.
My husband and I took a trip to Del Lago casino. I actually won some $ and we had a delish lunch at Smash Burgers.
Weekends have been spent at camp. Loving this place and so happy we have a seasonal to go to this year.
The boys, Maddox and Mason enjoyed an evening of roasting marshmallows
