Like every New Year and like most people, I entered 2022 with all kinds of RESOLUTIONS. Loose weight always seems to be on the top of that list. Like a good little gal I did have all intention of addressing my resolutions and beginning in Jan. I started off by getting back to the gym, plotted a plan to hike on a weekly basics, eat better and get my body moving. This plan as it usually does, was quickly derailed and I was right back to my "usual" self. I did however start a new activity that my husband has been pushing for a while now. I took up golf and began lessons.
This was a new activity and skill, I have slowly began to master and hubby actually bought me my own set of clubs about a month ago. I havent gone since. (LOL) I do anticipate doing this more. I swear.
Another New item that came to me this month was my JEEP. I have been wanting a jeep for some time now and on a whim, Mark and I stopped at a dealership one day with all intentions of simply "looking". If I recall this is the same way we ended up with the Travel trailer. (Looking). At any rate, I was taking home my new to me 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I LOVED HER! Betty White is her name and I was IN LOVE. She had everything I wanted. Heated and cooling seats, moon roof, automatic everything, computerized screens, a tow package and she was white. Everything I had wanted.
Now, here is where things get weird. I had this beauty for 21/2 months when one day, I got a call from the dealership asking what the item number was on my car. HUM....why? Well anyway, as I was reading off those little numbers I noticed that they did not match up with the registration numbers. LONG story short. They had sold me the wrong white Jeep. The one I was driving was actually reported as stolen. WHAT!!!!! Another LONG story and a whole lot of FREAK OUTs later. They could not seem to find the car I had ordered and the car I had purchased was not EXACTALLY what I had wanted, but I eventually came home with Betty White II and I am happy. BWII does not have a tow package and she is lacking some of the special features of BWI (moon roof, colant seats etc.) BUT I love her and now she is mine. At the time the whole situation was a mess. Never have I heard about a dealership selling the wrong car. I never did report them even at the suggestion of the DA. But anyways....never a dull moment.
My work friend AnneMarie was getting married and I enjoyed her bridal shower.
I also picked up reading as one of my resolutions, I was moving along pretty well for a while. Now I can't recall the last book I read. I was getting into the classics for a bit.
I had a yummy meal however. This poutine made up for any losses. Yum. (bye Bye diet)
Spending time at the pool made the no luck thing feel better too.
We celebrated my youngest's 19th Birthday. Holy poop!!!! he's not a baby anymore. Happy 19th Gavin.
mark got him this crazy cake.
Speaking of Birthdays, (although 5 month's late) For Kelly's Birthday we did a date at the Spa.
We had an amazing time.
My first of 52 hikes I planned for the new year.
I have done about 5 and we are well into at least week 25 if not more.

Goodbye to my little RAV4, you served me well. I will miss you much.

One evening, Mark and I went to Turning Stone Resort and Casino. We had a room for the night. He had tickets to the boxing, and I knew if I stayed in the casino by myself for all those hours I would be broke, so I spent a little $ and played BINGO. I have historically hated this game (but I always seem to be playing it.) because I never WIN. I didn't this time either. I did buy myself a little lucky troll to help motivated the fortune Gods to send me some luck, but it didn't work.

So anyway, as always I have failed to keep my New Years resolution, but I will admit the intent was truly there. Maybe some year it will actually stick, but I am not going to take any bets. The odds are not in my favor. Until next time TTFN.
