Albany: Druthers Brewing Company

 Clifton Park and Albany

September 21-22, 2022

Mark had his annual conference in Clifton Park again this year, and just like the last few, I was able to go with him and enjoy a night away from home. He does what he needs to do and I get an adventure away from home. There is really not much to express about this trip as most of it was filled with sitting and waiting around and relaxing. We really did not have a plan. We did decided to travel into Albany that evening for dinner.

We are getting well versed on using the YELP app to find good places to eat, and we both are fans of eating at local and nonchain restaurants. We found Druthers Brewing Company. It was highly recommended and places like this are actually just what we enjoy.  The menus consisted of the general pub types of foods; burgers, pizzas and the like, but with a much more exciting twist. For example; the loaded Monkey Bread was written about in most of the the reviews so we had to try this.
Indeed very tasty. There were other dishes like the the angry Bee pizza (I'm not sure what is in that), loaded Mac N Cheese and even shrimp tacos. Quite a step up from the traditional bar food, but in many aspects this is a pub/bar. They are a brewery after all. Mark and I did not try any of the flights or even have a beer with our meal.  For my main course I had a chicken bacon ranch sandwich. It was YUMMY!
The servers were wonderful and the food was great, we would absolutely come again. It appears that they are only located in the areas of Albany and Saratoga. I would come again if there was one closer. Great MEAL.

Some of the scenes as we drove through the area.

We didn't stay in the Albany area so I just snapped some area shots.
