NYC Rockettes

NYC- Rockettes
November 17- November 19th 2022

I am traveling with Tulip Travel again and this time we are heading to NYC.  Per usual we meet at the office and soon we are on our way. This trip is to see the NY Rockettes. This was my second trip with Tulip to this destination.
DAY 1: Travel for most of the day. We got to our hotel in New Jersey, I was fortunate as I was able to get my own room on this trip. It happens that way every once in a while. I was content with this. We had dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings, which happens to be on the same property as the hotel. This made it easy. After dinner, it was time for bed.

DAY 2: Up and ready for our full day of Manhattan. We had an arranged bus that took us into the city. This is always nice because we don't have to worry about parking etc. I just got to sit back and enjoy the view.

Up first we stopped at top of the Rock. We took the elevator all the way to the top and got some great views of the city. It's not the Empire State Building trip to the top, but it has some pretty great views.

The fun part of getting this view is we get to see a view with the Empire State building in it.

Its kind of hazy today, but we did get some great views.  We can see Central Park.

The Top of the Rock tour is pretty interesting. I have much more about this in my Rockettes blog 2021.
After being up on the top, we headed downstairs, did a little shopping in the Top of the Rock gift store and made our way around the building, we got a back door view of Rockerfeller center.

I tried to get some pictures through the windows.
Unfortunately there is scalfling covering the gold statue. The statue is named Prometheus, one of the Greek Gods. Prometheus was known to go against the Gods and give the people fire. He represents humans striving for the quest of knowledge.

I've never ice skated at this rink, but I bet it would be iconic.

Some of the art mural in the lobby of Rockerfeller Center.
Up next we headed to the music hall.

Lining up outside....awaiting to enter.

We took in some of the interior.

We then went to our seats. Ready for the show.

The show is actually pretty awesome.

My favorite scene is the Toy soldiers.

I love how they fall into one another.

They also do this amazing live nativity performance and there are real live animals.
It was amazing as always. We caught our bus and headed out of the city. I took pictures as we left.

It is always such an interesting scene.

We went out to dinner later and everyone sang Happy Birthday to me. Great time. TTFN
