1,000 Island fishing 2023

Opps, somehow I missed this trip in the Fall of 2023
Fishing in the Thousand Islands
Fall 2023

There is really not a lot to say about fishing. I am not a fisherman. I don't think I have the DNA, or the patience. I never catch anything, and even when I am trying my ever loving hardest to snag anything, I never do. I have sat and watched the same person pull fish after fish out of the water in the exact same waters as me with the same bait and still nothing comes up when I reel the rod in. I don't eat any kind of fish. Crustations or anything that comes from the sea. I have been known to eat tuna fish and I absolutely love me some fish sticks on white bread with a slab of that not real cheese slice.  I am sure this is more nostalgic then good eats cause that was something I grew up having as a kid, but every once in a while I do get that craving.

The Thousand Island Fishing trip is a annual trip Tulip has been doing for as long as the agency has been functioning. There are the same few guys that seem to go every year, and there are a few that try it out, so I have been on multiple trips up here for the fishing trip.
Fish or no fish I can't complain the area is absolutely stunning.

It's always a little chilly out on the boat as we come at the end of the season every year, but after a little excitement when a fish gets caught, we all forget about the cold and find ourselves committed to getting our own personal catch.

There were some caught on this trip. I don't know for sure and correct me if I am wrong, but I think that is a Pike.

Our fishing captain is nice enough to cut the fish that are caught up and the guys get to take some home. I will always leave that behind.

Over the three days two nights that we spend here in the Thousand Islands, there are four fishing excursions. One on the first afternoon we arrive, one early the next day, one that afternoon and one final trip out the last morning. There is room for about six of us per trip, and a chaperone must always go on the trip. I usually do the early morning. It is so pretty.

Its never my favorite trip, but I always enjoy the moments out on Lake Ontario.

 Good times. TTFN
