Goshen NY
December 2023
I had gotten my oldest Legoland tickets for Christmas, but we somehow got the dates mixed up and he was unable to go on the days I had. (No exchange, I did try.) So instead, Me, my daughter and my friend Carol took the 3 hour drive down state to visit this fun theme park.
One the way we stopped in Goshen, NY.
I used to live and had worked in Goshen NY and had never stopped at the horse racing track and home of the Harness Racing Museum. It wasn't open when we stopped anyways, so maybe some day Mark and I can do a road trip. I know he would like to visit.
We also had brunch at this lovely diner.
Then it was off to see the LEGO's.
We were able to add to the Wall of legos. I wish we could see the full thing, but maybe someday.
It was a cold and damp day, and not everything was open. Their was an entire section that was blocked off, but we did get to wander around and check out some of the legos pieces.
These were super fun.
There was an area where you could built your own or add on to.
We got to meet Santa Lego.
Stepping on area of the ground could prompt some musical notes.
There were only three actual rides that we were able to go on, there were some kiddie rides, but we were not going to go on those. We did enjoy the Brick Party Carousel....
We also went on the Lego Factory Adventure ride. (Actually several times.)
And we rode on the Ninjago Ride. This was clearly the most popular ride as we waited in line for a long time for this one.
We watched a little bit of a show, but the rain made it hard to stay focused.
Honestly, the park is very much geared to younger kids, and this was their Holiday seasonal time, so there was a ton of opportunities for the little ones to engage in activities, that we were all to old to part take. Although we did try.....
My absolute favorite part was the Lego replicas of US Cities. NY City.....
Here's the town of Goshen, with the race track.
We also spent some time in the gift store. This took up a ton of time, there is a lot to explore in this place.
As well as some fun sets to look at.
This was the area that was blocked off to us.
It was a fun day, I would say I honestly have no desire to return. I'm glad I went, but like I mentioned before, this is really much more for the little guys. Perhaps in the summer months when everything is open it would be more fun. I understand there is a water park as well, so that might be a good time. I did enjoy the time spent with both my daughter and Carol. Sorry Nick missed out, but I did get him a nice lego set in his absence.
I also loved seeing all the characters and pieces all made from Legos. It's truly amazing.
